We had a hell of a day. Basically worked from 4:30am until 1pm just to get the water and dirt taken care of. Then until about 7 to get things somewhat back to normal.

A Royal Affair
Have this on in the background while working today. I love period pieces. This one is set in the 18th century, at the court of the mentally ill King Christian VII of Denmark, and focuses on the romance between his wife, Caroline Matilda of Great Britain, and the royal physician Struensee. but wasn't expecting subtitles. That means I really have to watch this one. This guy is crazypants!
UPDATE: This is a really good movie! I highly recommend it to people who can watch foreign films. I believe it won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film too. Had no idea of this story.

Prometheus
Finally got around to watching this today. It's been on cable for a while but I haven't been that interested. I am glad I ended up taking the time because it's a really well done sci-fi movie. It did remind me a lot of Aliens though, just with an origins of life twist.

The 80s: The Decade That Made Us
Tonight I started watching the 6-part mini-series on National Geographic called The '80s: The Decade That Made Us. I'm loving every minute of it! I turned 7 in in 1980 so my adolescence was during this time. It's good to look back and see a historical perspective on the effects of so many things I remember.

Hitchcock
Watched Hitchcock, the movie, tonight. Pretty good! Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock, Helen Mirren as Alma Reville, Scarlet Johansson as Janet Leigh... great cast and great acting. It takes place after the success of North by Northwest, which Hitch is looking for his next project. The storyline takes you through the filming of one of his best, Psycho. The most interesting part though was the portrayal of the relationship Hitch had with his wife Alma.

Spring Awakening 2013
Holy shit! I never even heard of the Spring Awakening Festival until today. And I just bought a three-day pass... it's kinda like an organized "rave" at Soldier's Field with all the best DJs around. Gonna be crazy.
