Around the World in 80 Sips @ MCA Chicago

Tonight we went to a fun even at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Sponsored by Bottlenotes was a huge wine tasting with a over 100 wines. My favorite wines were the Perfecta Merlot 2005 (who'd have thought I'd like Merlot?) and the Radee Pineapple Ambrosia NV (a really great dessert wine). We got a bit of a buzz tasting all those yummy wines and ended up going for sushi dinner (and 2 more bottles of wine) afterwards.

Cubs vs. Indians @ Wrigley Field (6/21)

It was a great day for baseball! My mom's friend threw out the first pitch. The weather was perfect. It was father's day so the ballpark was packed and the crowd was all out to have fun. Oh, and the Cubs won!

New Ink! On Tiffany's Birthday

Tiffany wanted to check out the Body Arts Festival at Navy Pier and since it was her birthday she got what she wanted. I thought it was going to be cooler than it really was. We were kind of bored so finally I asked one of the vendors about improving the note tattoo I had behind my ear. He added several more notes scattered about. You still can't see it unless I pull back my hair.

Randi & Messy Marvin @ The Rockhouse (5/29)

Randi was singing with a band called Messy Marvin at The Rockhouse tonight. She's got an amazing voice! I couldn't believe how she belted out a Led Zeppelin song and sounded hot!

Mom's 65th Birthday

Today was mom's 65th birthday and I took the day off so we could spend it together. We went to the spa to get manicures and pedicures. Margie surprised her by calling ahead and paying for mom's treatments. We had fun picking out our colors and getting ready for Summer. Then I took her out to lunch at McCormick & Schmick's which was excellent. We had a few glasses of wine with lunch and it was fun. Then we met her friend Kay for a drink up at Meyer's Tavern. (NEVER thought I'd end up in that place!) After that we went home and changed to get ready for her big dinner. She didn't know it, but we invited a few special friends and it was a bit of a surprise. She had a really great birthday.
