best tv characters ever

Earlier this week, Mr. Gunn provided a list of 25 FAVORITE TV CHARACTERS EVER on his myspace page. Then he copied the list to his regular website. This guy is a director (Slither) and apparently his list has provided some controversy in the entertainment industry and all sorts of entertainment industry bloggers are now coming up with their own lists.  Of course this wants to make me come up a list of my own.

His RULES

    * No puppets or cartoons, otherwise Kermit and Homer would definitely be on this list.
    * No mini-series, otherwise I'd definitely include Philip Marlow from THE SINGING DETECTIVE.
    * No reality show people, otherwise Matt Kennedy Gould from THE JOE SCHMO SHOW would be on here.
    * All characters must be regulars on the show. Okay, here we go

My list is below, in no particular order. Just whoever I thought of first.
