Slate.com recently published an article called You Are What You Search which discusses the seven ways people search the internet. Using the search criteria provided in the AOL data leak last week, Slate identifies seven different types of internet users and how people search the internet.

I'm the Omnivore. I'm never into anything all that much. My searches are all over the place depending on what I am into on that particular day. And of course I'm online alot. One thing I do search for alot are song lyrics. I buy alot of new songs from iTunes and like to check out the lyrics. I also probably try and search for various scrapbook techniques that I see in magazines. If I have a vacation coming up I'll search alot for things to do or hotels or restaurants to that area.
