the guys came today to put up the lights on my house. i know it's early! but it inspired me to pull out my christmas stuff and start decorating inside as well. normally i'd do this over thanksgiving weekend but i'm going to be out of town during that time and not back until december 3. this way, when i get back it will be all ready and i can actually enjoy december.
it's actually kind of fun this year to decorate. last year at the end of the season, while in chicago, i bought a ton of christmas decorations and had them shipped back to my house in florida. when they came i just left them all packed up and i forgot what i got. so it was kind of fun to open up all the stuff i got for myself :) also, when i travel i collect ornaments. so i got to pull out all the ornaments i brought back as souvenirs. i haven't started hanging them yet but when i do it will be fun to look back on everything over the past six years since i started collecting them. i have done a bunch of traveling during that time so it will be neat.
